Fentress AICUZ/APZ

In the 1970's the Department of Defense established the Air Installations Compatible Use Zones (AICUZ) Program to balance the needs for aircraft operations and community concerns. The AICUZ guidelines define zones of high noise and accident potential surrounding military airfields and recommend uses that are compatible within these zones. The Fentress Overlay District includes all lots within the city located partially or wholly within the AICUZ noise contour for greater than 75 db Ldn (noise zone 3).

This layer shows the noise contours and accident potential zones surround Naval Auxiliary Landing Field Fentress.
