Service Description: FIRM panels
Layer showing the outlines of the physical FIRM panels showing the flood hazards in Chesapeake, VA.
This layer is maintained by FEMA and the effective date of the panels is December 16, 2014.
Flood Zones
The layer exists to provide ready reference to the location of FEMA-defined flood hazard zones in the City. It can be used to make a preliminary determination of a particular site’s vulnerability to flood. The effective date of the data is December 16, 2014. The data is the result of the FEMA re-mapping project for flood zones and was created using our 2006 topo data and other City GIS data provided to Dewberry.
