Service Description: <p style='margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:1.5rem;'><p>The Planners Map layer includes a collection of layers that are accessed frequently by the Planner of the Day. The layers have been grouped into categories: Boundaries, Transportation, Development, Environmental, Overlay Districts, Study Areas, Military Bases and Areas of Influence, Boundaries, and Zoning and Land Use.</p><p><b>Boundaries: </b>Cemeteries<b>, </b>Boroughs, Fire Districts, Planning Areas, Police Precincts, Zip Codes&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p><b>Transportation Group</b>: MTP 2050 Adopted, Railroads, Trails 2050, Trails 2050 Core Network, Water Access Points (TCONN)&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p><b>Development Group</b>: Development Tracking, Level of Service (LOS), Level of Service Built, and Certificates of Occupancy&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p><b>Environment Group: </b>Contours (2013, generalized), Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area (CBPA), Resource Protection Area (RPA) Buffer, Flood Zones, Intensely Developed Areas, Land Conservation Program, Environmentally Sensitive Overlay, and Northwest River Watershed Protection District&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p><b>Overlay Districts:</b> Great Bridge Historic Gateway (GBHG) Overlay District, GBHD GB School Architectural Compatibility Zone, Great Bridge Village Gateways, South Norfolk Local Historic District, South Norfolk Business District, TIF boundaries, Transportation Corridor Overlay District (TCOD), and TCOD Target Areas&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p><b>Study Areas: </b> Dominion Boulevard Corridor District, Dominion Boulevard Study Area, Greenbrier Area Plan Study Area, Greenbrier Area Plan Land Use Framework, Indian River Study Area, IR Character Corridors, Industrial Waterfront Study Area, Poindexter Strategic Development Plan, Route 17 Corridor Study, and South Military Highway Corridor Study area&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p><b>Zoning and Land Use: </b>Overlay Districts 2045, Character Districts, Existing Land Use Inventory (2021), Zoning &lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p>Some layers are not updated regularly, including:&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p>·     LOS/LOS_Built (updated quarterly)&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p>·     All military bases and areas of influence&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p>·      Overlay districts, study areas and council approved layers.&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p>&lt;o:p&gt; &lt;/o:p&gt;</p> <p>updated on 1/29/2026 to remove layers replaced by the 2045 Comprehensive Plan which was adopted by City Council on 1/20/2026&lt;o:p&gt;&lt;/o:p&gt;</p><br /></p>
