Description
The Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area (CBPA) district was originally adopted by City Council on January 21, 1992, to protect the water flowing into rivers feeding the Chesapeake Bay. The district’s boundaries are periodically updated. On June 25, 2024, City Council adopted the current CBPA district boundary. Approximately 550 acres of land were added to and 940 acres were removed from the district. The current CBPA district stretches across 20,000 acres or almost 31.5 square miles. |
